Text, exercise books for students affected by floods

Education Minister Dr.Susil Premajayanth told Parliament yesterday that a special programme is in place to provide school textbooks and exercise books to students whose books were destroyed by the flood.

He said that text books and exercise books will be provided to the affected students in the next two weeks.SJB MP S.M.Marikkar said that students in Kolonnawa, Kelanimulla, Wellampitiya and other areas have lost their books due to the flood.

The Minister said that instructions have been given to prepare a programme at the Ministry level to provide the necessary text and exercise books to schoolchildren.
