Tharindu Ameresekere appointed Millennium Toastmaster President

The Millennium Toastmasters Club in its 25th installation  at Cinnamon Lakeside on July 27. The event took place in the presence of  distinguished invitees including corporate players across different  sectors and also officials and members of Toastmasters International  District 82.

Champion speaker Tharindu Ameresekere was formally  installed as the new President of the club, along with the newly elected  Executive Committee. The committee members include Banukrishanthini Balakrishnan, Kavithi Hewage, Promodhya Abeysekara, Thisumi Sahansa, Mohamed Shalim, Janindu Sandanayake, and Kauminie Samarakoon.

As the second-oldest community club in the country, The  Millennium Toastmasters Club boasts a legacy of numerous successes in  various aspects of Toastmasters over the decades. The ceremony saw the  presence of many experienced members, including charter member DTM  Ajitha Goonewardene and former District Director D.T.M. Ajantha  Jayawardena. Also in attendance were former Toastmasters International  President DTM Balraj Arunasalam, District 82 Director – 2024/25 Ganga  Fernando, and other notable figures. JXG Group MD and CEO Ramesh Schaffter served as the Chief Guest.
