The injured student was admitted to a private hospital in Kandy by his parents and treated. The doctor who treated the student had inquired about the assault and informed the parents to file a complaint with the Police.
It is learned that the assault in question had taken place on the day the school ended its second term. The Police say that the father of one of the students who had allegedly attacked the injured student had agreed to pay the costs of treatment at the private hospital.
