Train passenger falls to death amid strike

A passenger died after falling off of a moving train near the Bemmulla Railway Station yesterday.

This incident occurred in a heavily crowded train plying from Colombo Fort to Polgahawela. This took place amid a trade union action carried out by the Station Masters which disrupted the train operations which led to limited services and over crowded trains.

Police are investigating the accident.
