Twenty-seven ME war effected Sri Lankans brought back

Twenty-seven Sri Lankans who were rendered helpless while staying in Lebanon due to the Lebanon-Israel war in the Middle East, arrived at Katunayake Airport on Wednesday (4) night.

Five children, three women and 19 men were among the people who arrived at the Katunayake Airport, thus.

The International Organisation for Migration, the officials of the Sri Lankan Embassy in Lebanon and the officials of the Sri Lanka’s Foreign Affairs Ministry had taken steps to send these Sri Lankans back.

Arrangements had been made for Sri Lankans to return on 11/06, 11/12, 11/28, 12/01.

Accordingly, 53 Sri Lankans who were living in Lebanon have been brought back to Sri Lanka in this way.

These 27 Sri Lankans had arrived at the Katunayake Airport on Wednesday (4) at 11.30 p.m. from Dubai on flight EK-648 of Emirates Airlines.
