Twin girls reported missing in Mundalama

The Mundalama Police have received a complaint that two twin girls, aged 15 years and 7 months, have been missing from their home since Tuesday (25) morning. The children’s mother has complained to Police that the twin girls are missing. Police say that the family members of a friend of these girls were going on a pilgrimage to Kataragama and the twins had sought permission from their mother to go on the trip which she had refused.

Meanwhile, the Police say that the girls asked their mother for 500 rupees but the mother did not give that amount. It is said that these girls had asked for 500 rupees to go to Kataragama.

Police say that the two girls went missing after that and until yesterday (26) they have not received any information about the girls.
