Two arrested over fake Rs. 10 million lottery scam

Two suspects have been arrested for deceiving the public through the fake lottery scheme ‘Dialog Mega Wasana’ on social media, defrauding Rs. 10 million.

According to the Police, a male and a female suspect were arrested by officers of the Northern Division of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) on Monday (Jan 05). 

The Police said both suspects, aged 29, are residents of Batticaloa. 

The CID is conducting further investigations into the incident. (Newswire)
