The Pilassa Magistrate’s Court yesterday (21) ordered to remand two Police officers who were arrested for taking a litre of petrol as a bribe in order to not fine a driver nabbed for a motor vehicle offence. The two officers reportedly let go of the driver of a threewheeler nabbed for having a Buddha statue and couple of replicas of elephant tusks placed partially blocking the front view of the three-wheeler, after accepting the bribe without filing charges.
These two PCs had been arrested as a result of an investigation based on the information that appeared in social media regarding this illegal act by the Police.
