Two die in mobikes collision

A motorcycle driven by a doctor collided head on with another motorcycle in the Araly area of Jaffna on Thursday (30), killing the doctor and the pillion rider instantly.

The deceased were identified as Dr. Maheshwaran Mayuran (37) and his friend Jayasundaram Sarojan (29).

The Manippay Police said that the accident took place while the doctor was travelling from Araly to Jaffna city.

The two occupants of the other motorcycle were seriously injured and admitted to the Jaffna Teaching Hospital.
