Two Matugama cops arrested over missing firearm

A Police inspector and a Constable have been arrested in connection with the disappearance of a pistol and a magazine containing 10 rounds of live ammunition from the Matugama Police Station.

Police said the items were reported missing following a documentary audit, which revealed that the weapon and ammunition had been unaccounted for.
