Two serious from five injured in Mankulam demining explosion

Five women among a group of women involved in demining mission in Thunukkai in Mankulam were injured when a land mine exploded yesterday. Police said that four women who were working as deminers attached to an International de-mining organization have been seriously injured following the explosion.

The injured who are in the group of 39 and 40 have been transferred to the Killinochchi Hospital from the Thunukkai hospital. Hospital sources said that two of them are in serious condition.
