Two unloading fuel from bowser arrested in Mabima

Sapugaskanda Police yesterday arrested two persons who were involved in unloading 13,000 liters of 92 octanes of petrol from the browser that left the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation’s (CPC) Kolonnawa Storage when it was on the way to the fuel station in Kalutara.

The arrest was made in Mabima in Sapugaskanda.The driver of the bowser and the owner of the place where the fuel was being unloaded were arrested and another person involved in this has fled.

Pieces of sealed rubber tubes and wires that were used to obtain fuel were found here.

The raid was carried out by the Intelligence Officers of the Police Special Task Division based on information received by its OIC Ositha Lanka de Silva.
