Underworld criminals Midigama Chuti, Jile held in Malaysia

Unconfirmed sources reveal that underworld criminals Midigama Chuti and Jile, two main acolytes of drug trafficker and underworld criminal Harak Kata and who allegedly hatched a plan to attack CID to help both Harak Kata and Kudu Salindu escape, have been arrested by the Malaysian security officials.

A senior Police officer said that although no official information has been received so far, necessary steps will be taken to confirm the details and if they have been arrested, will request Malaysian authorities to deport them to Sri Lanka.

Both of them stayed in Dubai for some time. Later, the intelligence agencies had learned that they had gone to Malaysia from Dubai.

Sources reveal that the two of them are currently engaged in an effort to extradite them to Dubai with the help of lawyers.

The person who is known as Jile is accused of many murders, including the shooting to death of Sumudu Rukshan, the SLPP member of SLPP for Kotikawatta Mulleriya Pradeshiya Sabha.

He is a resident of Angoda and was active as an acolyte of underworld figure Angoda Lokka.

Midigama Chuti is said to be the person who controlled drug trafficking here for Harak Kata while the latter was staying in Dubai.

Police have identified him as a person behind several murders.Both are said to have planned an attack on the CID building to get out both Harak Kata and Kudu Salindu who are detained by the CID for questioning.
