Vinh Long Province of Vietnam holds business conference in Sri Lanka

The Vinh Long Province of Vietnam in collaboration with the Embassy of Vietnam in Sri Lanka convened a ground-breaking business conference at the Granbell Hotel in Colombo recently.

The event focused on the promotion of trade, investment, and tourism between the Vinh Long Province of Vietnam and Sri Lanka.

The conference was attended by a delegation from the Vinh Long Province of Vietnam, including Nguyen Thi Quyen Thanh, Vice Chairperson of the Provincial People’s Committee; Heads of Provincial Departments of Planning and Investment, Education and Training, Health, Industry and Trade; high-ranking officials and business community in the fields of agriculture and food processing, tourism, logistics, education, healthcare, technology, trade and investment, etc.

Gilma Dahanayake, Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Trade Commerce and Food Security, Shiwanthi Abeyrathne, Deputy Director of Department of Commerce, CEO and members of the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce, and members of the National Chamber of Commerce and representatives from business councils were attended conference.

The conference highlighted the complementary strengths of Vinh Long Province and emphasized the strategic importance of fostering bilateral ties in order to capitalize on economic opportunities. Attendees exchanged ideas and strategies to enhance trade relations, and tourism links to establish a prosperous future for both countries.

This event represents a significant milestone in strengthening the relationship between Vinh Long Province of Vietnam and Sri Lanka as they work together towards a brighter, more prosperous future.
