Voters who haven’t received their polling cards can obtain them online
The Election Commission (EC) has provided a facility for voters who have not received an official polling card from the post office to obtain a copy of the official polling card online to vote at the Parliamentary Election on Thursday, November 14.
Voters who have not received their official polling cards can visit the election e-services website of the Election Commission (https://eservices.elections.gov.lk) to download and print a copy of their official polling card, the EC stated.
Voters who want to obtain a copy of their official polling card can follow the directions listed below:
Select the e-service ‘Voter Registration Details Search’ from the election e-services website.
Search for the details by entering the National Identity Card number and your Administration District.
Select the ‘Voter Registration Details for Parliamentary Election 2024’ and the voter registration information that appears for the 2024 Parliamentary Election.
Enter the mobile number below the voter registration information which is used for the 2024 Parliamentary Election. Select ‘Download the official polling card’ and print the official polling card options to print your official polling card.
At the same time, you will receive an OTP on your mobile phone. Enter the OTP in the place that says ‘Enter the code’ and get your official polling card printed.
The Election Commission has further said that the official polling card is not a mandatory requirement for voters in order to cast their vote.
Any voter with a valid National Identity Card mentioned in the 2024 voter registration list can visit the polling station allotted to them and cast their vote by proving the identity on the day of election.
