Warning issued for deep depression over North Andaman sea

The Meteorology Department today issued a weather Warning for the Deep Depression over North Andaman sea and adjoining areas of East-Central Bay of Bengal, lay centered at 08.30 a.m. on 22 nd March 2022, near latitude 15.2N and Longitude 94.2E (15.2N 94.2E).

 

 It is likely to move nearly northwards away from Andaman Islands and weaken gradually and cross Myanmar coast. 

 

There can be very heavy showers or thundershowers, strong winds (45-55) kmph gusting up to (60-70) kmph associated with very rough seas over the aforementioned sea areas, the Department said. 

 

Naval and fishing communities are advised to be vigilant in this regards.
