Water supply has been fully restored following the completion of repairs to the main transmission pipeline from Ambatale, the National Water Supply and Drainage Board said.
The disruption was caused by a sudden breakdown in the Ambatale main pipeline, which had affected several areas in and around Colombo. The NWSDB said repair work was completed and the distribution system has now returned to normal operations.
Consumers were earlier advised to use water sparingly during the repair period. (Newswire)
