WDIG’s car, two others collide near Nelum Pokuna

DIG in charge of the Police Welfare Division W. J. Pathmini was unharmed in a road accident when three vehicles including her official car driven by a Police Constable collided near the Nelum Pokuna theatre in Colombo on Tuesday afternoon.

The accident happened when a car driven by a Marketing Executive of a well-known financial company in the country hit the rear side of the official vehicle of the women DIG and the DIG’s vehicle hit the rear side of another car.

According to the police, the third vehicle belongs to the Sri Lanka Ports Authority and is currently being used by the OIC of the Foreshore Police station. It was being driven by a Police Constable by the time of the accident.

The vehicle of the woman DIG has damaged in the accident and no casualties reported, police said.

The Cinnamon Garden Police are investigating.
