WHO appreciates SL’s effort to control spread of vector-borne diseases

The World Health Organization (WHO) has appreciated the measures taken by the Ministry of Health to prevent and control the spreading of vector-borne diseases.

A joint External Evaluation on vector-bone diseases in Sri Lanka conducted by the WHO has revealed that the measures taken by the health authorities to control the diases such as Dengue, Malaria, leishmaniasis and lymphatic filariasis are at a satisfactory level
