Woman beaten to death by son-in-law

Mirigama Police said a 60 year old woman has been beaten to death by her son-in-law after an argument over a family matter in Kohilakotuwa, Makura.

The woman was pronounced dead after been admitted to the Mirigama hospital.

Police say that the suspect’s son-in-law is a resident of Wellawa in Kurunegala.

Police investigations are also being conducted to ascertain information received that this suspect is responsible for the death of another woman.
