1,156 arrested for various crimes in Western Province

Police had arrested 1,156 suspects over various offences during a special operation carried out in the Western province within a 24- hour period.

Accordingly, Police had arrested 531 individuals evading courts and with pending warrants against them, 54 persons connected to various crimes and 491 suspects over various offences.
