1,365,000 ‘Aswesuma’ beneficiaries to receive August allowance today – State Minister

Finance State Minister Shehan Semasinghe said that the crediting the July allowance to 1,365,000 ‘Aswesuma’ beneficiaries was concluded last week and instructions had been given to credit the August allowance to their bank accounts today (1). He added that the Government intended to credit the September allowance in November as well.

The State Minister announced that an ‘Aswesuma Week’ will be held from November 6 to 12 to complete screening of all the applications that did not qualify initially. He said that the applicants who qualify would be paid the July, August and September allowances as well.
