17th phase of “Guwan Mithudam” project concluded

The 17th phase of the “Guwan Mithudam” Project was successfully concluded yesterday (22 November 2021) by SLAF Station Mullaitivu under the guidance of the Chairperson Seva Vanitha Unit, Mrs. Charmini Pathirana. The ‘Guwan Mithudam’ a novel concept based on charity services, fledged by the incumbent Chairperson Sri Lanka Air Force Seva Vanitha Unit, Mrs. Charmini Pathirana in view of strengthening and facilitating the needy around the country linked up with all Sri Lanka Air Force establishments.

 

Renovation of the Thanniruttu Tamil Mixed School with “First Aid Room” Mullaitivu was completed as the 17th phase and handed over to be used by school children by the President Seva Vanitha Unit of SLAF Station Mullaitivu, Mrs. Dushanthi Liyanaarachchige on behalf of the Chairperson SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit. Further, a refrigerator and medical equipment were also donated during the event.

 

The project was funded by SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit together with SLAF Station Mullaitivu and the event was successfully completed under the supervision of the Commanding Officer SLAF Station Mullaitivu, Group Captain ADR Liyanaarachchige. The event was held with limited participants due to COVID 19 restrictions.
