27-year-old Italian woman dies after fall at Ella waterfall
A 27-year-old Italian woman has died after slipping and falling while visiting a waterfall in the Kithal Ella area in Ella, police said.
According to the Police, the incident occurred last morning (24), while the foreign national was visiting the Kithal Ella waterfall with a friend.
Police investigations have revealed that the woman had been taking photographs when she slipped and fell, sustaining injuries.
She was subsequently admitted to the Demodara Hospital, where she later died.
Ella Police launched an investigation after receiving information regarding the incident and are conducting further inquiries. (Newswire)
