74-year-old man injured in shooting at Ahungalla home

A shooting targeting a man inside a house was reported in the Galwehera area within the Ahungalla Police Division early this morning (04).

Police said the injured man has been admitted to Balapitiya Hospital for treatment.

The victim has been identified as a 74-year-old resident of Galwehera, Ahungalla.

Police suspect that a pistol was used in the shooting. Initial investigations have revealed that the firearm was aimed through a window of the house before the shots were fired.

Ahungalla Police are conducting further investigations to arrest the suspects. (Newswire)
