A survey conducted by the Ministry of Health in 2021 – 2022 has found that 80% of the annual deaths in Sri Lanka are caused by Non-Communicable Diseases and their complications.
It shows that 15% of the population under the age of 35, suffer from diabetes and 35% from high blood pressure.
