The Parliamentary Affairs Select Committee has decided to hold the debate on the No-Confidence Motion presented by the Opposition against Health Minister Keheliya Rambukwella on three days from today (6) upto Friday (08).
Accordingly, the debate on the No-Confidence Motion will be held today from 09.30 am to 4.30 pm.
It has been decided to debate the Inland Revenue (Amendment) Bill and Social Security Contribution Tax (Amendment) Bill today (6) and tomorrow (7) from 4.30pm to 7.00 pm. It has also been agreed to hold the vote on Second Reading of the two Bills tomorrow (07) at 7:00 pm. Then the Third Reading of the two Bills are scheduled to be held till 7.30 pm.
It has also been decided to direct an oral question and answer sessions on these two days to another day and accordingly, the debate related to the No-Confidence Motion against the Health Minister will be conducted from 9.30 am to 4.30 pm on those two days. As previously decided, the vote on the No-Confidence Motion will be held at 5.30 pm on August 8.
