Apple introduces HomeView, bringing AI-powered Siri into your home

Apple today (13) introduced HomeView, an all-new smart home hub designed to serve as a central home display while remaining personal to everyone in the household. Featuring a 7-inch Liquid Retina display, HomeView combines entertainment, connectivity, and smart home management supporting music playback, FaceTime calls, home monitoring, and hands-free voice controls all built with core privacy and security protections.
The device recognizes up to six users by their faces, allowing it to adapt and provide personalized access to individual content across apps like Messages, FaceTime, Calendar, Reminders, and Find My. HomeView is powered by Siri AI, an upgraded conversational assistant driven by Apple Intelligence and advanced Apple silicon, featuring broad world knowledge, improved music discovery, and onscreen awareness. When paired with a compatible, Apple Intelligence-enabled iPhone or iPad, it can also draw securely on a user’s personal context such as Calendar, Messages, and app information to deliver more tailored responses.
Designed to fit various spaces, HomeView is available in a tabletop configuration with a domed speaker base connected via a stainless steel hinge, as well as a separate wall-mounted model. Pre-orders begin today, with retail availability starting on November 13 at a price of $299. (Newswire)
