Fidenz Academy to nurture next-gen software engineers with mentorship programme
Software Development Company, Fidenz Technologies is inviting undergraduates and fresh graduates to join its training and development arm, Fidenz Academy, to study and engage in software engineering under the mentorship of senior engineers.
Fidenz Technologies, which provides cutting-edge software solutions to businesses across the globe, has extended this invitation as part of a recruitment drive for its upcoming expansion. The training is provided free, the selected trainees will be paid an allowance by Fidenz Academy during the two-month training period.
Initially, the trainees receive on-the-job training at Fidenz Academy on developing solutions for real-world problems. Thereafter, they are employed by Fidenz Technologies to develop software for businesses in Sweden, Norway, Denmark, the US, Australia and Singapore.
Fidenz Academy was one of the first software development companies in Sri Lanka to introduce a structured, automated process to train undergraduates. With a well-structured set of tutorials and assignments seasoned over twelve years, the Academy helps trainees build core programming skills and effectively work on commercial projects.
The training is provided with no strings attached and no contractual obligations on employment duration. However, many former Fidenz Academy trainees have continued to work at Fidenz Technologies, as they enjoy the job satisfaction and personal growth opportunities provided by the company.
Minod, a trainee software engineer at Fidenz Academy who is on the verge of completing his two-month training, spoke about how he has benefitted by enrolling at Fidenz Academy. “Fidenz Academy has allowed me to build a solid foundation of skills and knowledge beneficial to the future of my career. The learning process has been comprehensive, and it has allowed me to learn and play with the latest technologies in the industry. The allowance paid by Fidenz Academy is a great bonus, considering how much knowledge I am gaining through the training. This really has been a game changer for me.”
Sameera, who joined Fidenz Academy from the construction industry, spoke about how the academy has helped him through his career change. “After completing my engineering degree at Moratuwa University, I worked in the construction field for around 10 years as a site engineer. After that, I wanted to change my career and applied to Fidenz Academy. After I was accepted, I received thorough training and worked closely with veterans in the software engineering industry. They helped me clear my doubts whenever I had trouble grasping the material. I feel that I made the best decision by selecting Fidenz Academy.”
