CMC to take over Viharamahadevi Park

The Minister of Urban Development and Housing Prasanna Ranatunga has instructed the Urban Development Authority (UDA) to handover the administration of the Viharamahadevi Park in Colombo, to the Colombo Municipal Council (CMC).

He also said that, according to the Section 50 of the Urban Development Authority Act, the Urban Development Authority has the ability to take over any property for development purposes.
