Suranga, Sumudu and Gunawardena excel in powerlifting

Suranga de Silva, Sumudu Pradeep and S.N.B Gunawardena who represented Sri Lanka in the Asian classic Powerlifting Championship – 2023, which was held Malaysia and registered victories in the men’s and women’s categories repeatedly.

The above tournament was held in the city of Johor Bahru, Malaysia from the 10th to the 18th of December. Suranga de Silva who represented Sri Lanka in the competition and emerged overall champions in the 66 weight class category. Meanwhile Sumudu Pradeep won the overall second place in the 59 weight class category and S.N.B. Gunawardena won the overall third place in the under 23 women’s 84 weight class category.
