Opinions of all communities should be fairly represented in Parliament- Deshmanya Janaka Nanda Kumara SJB

SJB Organiser for Borella electorate and Colombo District Candidate Deshmanya Janaka Nanda Kumara says that the opinion of all communities should be fairly represented in Parliament.          He points out that, otherwise, the group in power will arbitrarily fulfil the needs of only those loyal to them.

Speaking to the media recently, he said, “Sri Lanka is the only country in the South Asian region that uses the Democratic system of governance in the best way. In Democracy, we accept that all sections of society have got freedom and rights. That situation should improve further in the future.

From time to time, there have been threats against the Democracy of this country from various forces, but we have defeated all of them and managed to preserve the Democracy. There is no such situation in any other country in this region.

Parliamentary Democracy was built and protected because the freedom and rights of every section of the country should be protected and peace and development of the country should be maintained. Because the opinion of all groups should be fairly represented in Parliament. If not, the group in power will fulfil its needs in a biased manner.

As the main force in the Opposition, we suggest that the SJB be given a majority at this General Election, to help us contribute to the preservation of the country’s Democracy. SJB is a Social Justice oriented political movement. Under our rule, instead of repression, freedom and rights for all will be developed,” he added.
