Parliament approves extension of State of Public Emergency

Parliament today approved the extension of the State of Public Emergency by a majority of 128 votes.

A total of 135 Members of Parliament voted in favour of the motion, while 7 MPs voted against it.

The extension was passed following a vote in Parliament after the government sought approval to continue the emergency regulations currently in force. (Newswire)
