The Kohuwala Police have started an investigation regarding the admission of a 78-year-old woman to Colombo South Teaching Hospital, Kalubowila after she was killed by strangling.
This woman residing in a house at Woodland Road, Kohuwala had been admitted to the hospital on November 4 by claiming that she fell on the floor and became unconscious.
The post-mortem examination on the woman’s death,confirmed that her death was caused by strangulation of the neck, nose and mouth. Police said that her death took place at the house of her son, who is a businessman.The police said that the former’s son, his wife and two children live in that house.
