Examinations Commissioner General Amit Jayasundara told Daily News today (2) that all necessary arrangements are ready to start the G.C.E. Advanced Level Examination from 4th.
He also said that even though disaster conditions have been reported in some areas due to the prevailing rainy situations these days, the officials have made plans to provide all the necessary facilities to the candidates in those areas to sit the examination without any hindrance.
He also said that plans have been made to provide transport facilities to the candidates who cannot go to the examination centres due to disaster conditions such as floods and landslides. Besides, attention has been drawn to establish convenient examination centres for such candidates if necessary.
He also stated that the Disaster Management Centre, District and Divisional Secretaries, Directors of Education, and the Armed Forces will jointly take steps to provide necessary facilities to the exam candidates.
The Advanced Level examination will be held from Thursday (4) to 31 of January at 2,298 examination centres across the country.
