AAASL invests Rs. 670 Mn for ‘Digital Voice CS System’ at BIA

The new “Digital Voice Communication Switching System (DVCS System) at Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) was opened last week by Minister of Ports, Shipping & Aviation Nimal Siripala de Silva.

This project has been entirely funded by Airport and Aviation (AASL) at Rs. 670 million and the new DVCS system manage all the technical overhead by automatically relaying the Air Traffic Controllers’ communication through these air ground stations towards aircraft.

It plays a vital role as it gives access to all the communications through a single touch display in front of Air Traffic Controllers.
