Advisory for strong wind issued

The Meteorology Department has issued a warning of strong wind to several provinces, which is valid until July 11.

According to the warning issued, “Strong gusty winds up to 60 kmph are likely at times over western slope of the Central hills and gusty winds up to 50 kmph at times are likely in Northern, North-Central, North-Western and Southern provinces, Trincomalee district and Western coastal areas”.
