Ajith Akram of Natpiddimunai Hero Youth Club wins Gold medal

M.J. Ajith Akram of Natpiddimunai Hero Youth Club won first place in the 10,000 metres race for men over 20 years brought fame to his club at the Ampara District 33rd Youth Sports Festival-2021 conducted by the National Youth Services Council (NYSC) Ampara District Office at the Addalaichenai Public Play Grounds recently.

Gold winner M.J. Ajith Akram qualified to compete at the 33rd National Youth Sports Festival-2021 to be held in Sugathadasa Stadium in Colombo. His club and Natpiddimunai for pray for his success at National Level.

M.J.Sajith Aslam of the same club secured 2nd place at 1,500m race.

The District Youth Sports Festival-2021 was organized by Ampara District Youth Services Officer A.Mubarak Ali while National Youth Services Council (NYSC) Ampara District Assistant Director W.A.G.S. Damayanthi who presided over.

Digamadullah District Sri Lanka Pothujana Peramuna (SLPP) Parliamentarian and Ampara District Development Committee Chairman W.D. Weerasinghe was the Chief Guest at the sports festival.

The National Youth Services Council (NYSC) Eastern Province Director Sarath Chandrapala, Akkaraipattu Municipal Councilor Azmi A. Gaffoor, Local Politicians, high ranking officials and Youth Officers were present and distributed the medals and trophies at the awards ceremony.
