Ajmeer National School, Ukuwela under 16 Football Champions

Ajmeer National School, Ukuwela under 16 football team emerged as the Champions in the district of Matale with a 1 nil win against Zahira College, Matale in the final of the Matale district schools under 16 football championship 2023, conducted by the Sri-Lanka Schools Football Association, played at the Yalagama ground, Ukuwela, recently.

In the semi final, Ajmeer National School, Ukuwela beat Vijaya College, Matale by 5 goals to nil and in the final, they beat Zahira College, Matale by a solitary goal to nil, with the goal coming from the boot of M F.M. Aadhil to crown them as the under 16 district Champions for the year 2023.
