AL student, another held for selling drugs to students in Kandy

Police have arrested a student studying in the Advanced Level classes at a leading school in Kandy and another person in Henawala, Kadugannawa while selling drugs to school children. Police found 288 capsules of an intoxicant drug worth Rs.45,000 from the suspects.

According to the police, the suspects also had Rs.15,680 earned by selling the drugs.

A set of equipment used to consume the drug ‘Ice’ was also found in the possession of the suspects.

Police investigations have revealed that one of the arrested suspect is studying in Advanced Level classes in a leading school in Kandy and the other twenty-year-old suspect is a recent school leaver.
