Amana Bank recently joined hands with Royal College to inaugurate the Capital Market Club by being the sponsor of the club’s maiden ‘Market Mastery’ workshop.
The Capital Market Club is a collaborative initiative between the Presidential Secretariat, Ministry of Education, Securities and Exchange Commission and Colombo Stock Exchange, all united in their commitment to providing students with essential financial literacy, with a focus on teaching effective money management and fostering a comprehensive understanding of low-risk financial practices.
The Capital Market Club’s inaugural event, Market Mastery, was recently held at the Royal College Main Hall with the attendance of 200 students from 18 schools in the Western Province.
The workshop witnessed leading capital market professionals sharing their invaluable knowledge and insights, introducing students to the fundamental principles of the stock market, investment strategies, financial analysis, and research practices.
Further contributing to the workshop, Amana Bank’s Head of Knowledge Marketing and Financial Inclusion, Muath Mubarak, delivered a special lecture on the importance of investing and personal financial management while also introducing students to the non-interest-based banking model.
