Angulana PC arrested after burying suspect’s heroin at home

A Police Constable attached to the Angulana police who buried sixty-two packets of heroin at his home garden was arrested by Mount Lavinia Divisional Police Criminal Investigation Unit.

This Police Constable had taken 66 packets containing 1,800 milligrams of narcotics to his house was arrested by the officers of the Mt.Lavinia Division Criminal Investigation Bureau yesterday (22) night.

This PC in question had arrested a suspect who was in possession of these 66 packets of narcotics on Saturday night. The suspect was later released while taking the drug into his possession. The Police Special Task Force raided the area on Saturday(22) and arrested a leading drug dealer named Asitha. At that time, Asitha had thrown the drug parcel in his hand to one of his associates.

The suspect was caught by the PC in question at a check point.
