Another of Harak Kata’s accomplice arrested before shooting

Officers of the Colombo Crime Division have succeeded in arresting a suspect related to underworld leader Harak Kata’s drug network, who was preparing to kill another drug trafficker over a dispute regarding drug trafficking. He had been arrested along with a firearm he had prepared for the killing. He had six grams and 115 milligrams of heroin and 147 narcotic pills in his possession at the time of arrest.

The 22 year old suspect, a resident of Kalubowila, was arrested by the Colombo Crime Division officers on Sunday (4). The suspect was presented to the Nugegoda Court and a detention order was obtained until September 9.

During the investigation, a revolver and three ammunition were found hidden in a garage near the suspect’s house. When questioned about it, the suspect said that he had prepared the weapon to shoot and kill an opposing drug dealer.
