Another suspect in MP Amarakeerthi’s murder remanded till Aug.22

Another suspect who was arrested in connection with the murder of MP Amarakeerthi Athukorala and his personal security officer on May 9, 2022, was ordered to be remanded till August 22 by the Aththanagalla Magistrate’s Court.

The arrested suspect is a resident of Wathupitiwala.

So far, 38 suspects have been arrested and remanded in connection with the murder of MP Amarakeethi Athukorala and his security officer.

MP Amarakeethi Athukorala and his security officer were killed in the Nittambuwa area during the riots that took place across the country on May 9.
