Antonian Trevin Mathews a fine all rounder
He is in peak form and is fortunate to be part of the Sri Lanka side in the under 19 youth one day internationals against Bangladesh, being played at Dambulla.
His main aim is to play a big part in this tournament In the first game he took 4 wickets for 29 , in the second game took 2 wickets for 47 and in the third game 1 for 25 , all three games were won by Sri Lanka and the fourth game is on Saturday.
Trevin who was born in the year 2004 in the month of June-14th, is a dedicated player who plays the game . hard and has his eyes set on representing the country. in the future He is a right arm off spinner and right-hand batsman.
This young cricketer started cricket at the St. Anthony’s College cricket academy in 2013. A keen follower of cricket, started with the under 13 team, where he scored over 900 runs with four centuries and claimed 47wickets. He later played for the under 15, which team emerged joint champions in the Division I inter schools tournament conducted by Sri Lanka Schools Cricket Association in 2019, in which tournament he was able to do well and scored over 350 runs and took over 30 wickets.
. Last year he was all out to give his best for the under 17 side but could not play due to Covid19 epidemic. And he played for the first eleven sides in the friendly games. And was selected for the under 19 provincial team .
He is thankful to all his coaches who helped him to do well, the Old Boys Assocation of the school, School cricket wing and his parents who gave him huge support. And also he is thankful to his teammates who really inspired him to perform well in the game.
