Anula student relives memories with President

The 2019/2020 prize giving ceremony of Nugegoda Anula Vidyalaya was held Wednesday (16) under the patronage of President Ranil Wickremesinghe.

At the event, the Principal Vayoni Vishaka Rajapaksha showed a photo of the President and a four-month-old child taken in Rome, Italy in 2012 during an awareness programme for United National Party members in which the President had participated as the then Opposition and UNP leader.

The child Sathurni Himaya Meepagala is a sixth grade student at Nugegoda Anula Vidyalaya now.

The President also engaged in a conversation with the student following the Principal’s revelation.
