Cricketer, Ruggerite, Hand ball player and Athlete, Member of the under 15 District Cricket Squad and Man of the Match of the 35 th Cambrian Sebastian One Dayer, Left hand middle order bat, who opens the attack, Safe fielder and under 23 division three Cricketer Wijayarupa Bandarage Anupa Heshan Isuru Bandara has brought honour and glory to his alma mater Prince of Wales’ College Moratuwa with his deeds in the field of sports.

Anupa Bandara was born on 20 th February 2002 and his first school is Prince of Wales College and he was admitted to this school when Rohana Karunarathne as the Principal in 2014 he attended the under 13 division three practices under Kalpa Fernando and in his first year he played in three matches and in the following year he played for the under 13 division two and scored 360 runs with three half centuries and in 2016 playing in the under 15 division two he scored 290 runs with three fifties and in his final year in the under 15 he scored 604 runs with three fifties and centuries against Gurukula Vidyalaya and Thurstan College and grabbed 25 wickets.

His under 17 was in 2019 and 2020 and in his first year he scored 270 runs with a fifty in the pre quarters against Mahinda and in the following year passed the 250 run mark with a half century versus Sri Sumangala.

He was selected to the first eleven team in 2020 and played three matches including Royal College Colombo and in the following year played in the One Day Tournament and scored 125 runs and in the schools two day tournament he got a fifty versus Nalanda. This year playing in nine matches he scored 362 runs with three fifties and collected ten scalps and played for the Big Match and the One Dayer in Cambrians beat Sebs. Anupa Bandara claimed 4 for 33 and earned the Man of the Match Award.

In addition to Cricket he participated in the Inter House Rugger and Hand ball and also he took part at the 2019 Inter House Sports meet and took part in High Jump and Long Jump and got places for under 19 age group.
