Applications for ‘Aswesuma’ to be called in January

Applications for the ‘Aswesuma’ welfare benefits programme are slated to be called again in January 2024, according to State Minister of Finance Ranjith Siyambalapitiya.

He noted that those who were unable to apply in the first phase of the beneficiary scheme can apply in the second phase.

Speaking to the media in this regard in Kegalle, Siyambalapitiya stated that the number of beneficiary families will also be increased in the second phase.
