ARCHNIX signs MoU with NAITA to develop students according to industry needs

ARCHNIX Group Chairman Kinthusan Thevakumar introduced a new concept to the National Apprentice and Industrial Training Authority (NAITA) to develop their students according to industry needs.

Accordingly NAITA signed an MoU with ARCHNIX Information Technological & Servicers recently to produce “Smart Technocrats”, who are globally recognized and who possess internationally acclaimed qualifications required through Re-skills and Up-Skills by the local and international employment markets for existing and new IT trainees.

The MoU will enable NAITA and ARCHNIX to contribute to enhance vocational education and training for the youth in the various sectors Information Technology skills which would include skilled craft level training program (NVQ 03 or 04) – 1 to 2 years, future Information Technology Training Diploma program 2 years program (NVQ Level 06) and enforcement of skill upgrading non NVQ training program that could lead IT literacy development among the youth.

As per the MoU, NAITA will enroll trainees in corporate with ARCHNIX and register them under NAITA and provide soft skill development programs for trainees which include assessment, testing programs for the courses according to the standard procedure or agreed procedure. NAITA will also monitor trainees and training programs during the training period in addition to supervision done by ARCHNIX.

NAITA will also work with ARCHNIX to develop, conduct and moderate IT programs related to NVQ and Non NVQ certification in the Information Technology Training Sector to meet local and international employment standard equirements.

NAITA will coordinate with TVET to get the relevant accreditation for each and every course. (If necessary) and will issue a joint certification with ARCHNIX as training provider under the MoU for the training course in addition to NVQ certification (if any).

NAITA will also arrange to get technical support to recognize and develop courses highly relevant to current and future competency needs and get assistance from ARCHNIX to develop the IT education model to meet the employment-oriented competency and promote it island-wide.

ARCHNIX will provide required human resources to conduct the information technology training program for onsite and online training workshops, conduct employment focused training, Up-skill and Re-skill of Youth to find suitable employment through these training programs.

Work in collaboration with NAITA to stabilize the program to acquire NVQ Level 3 to 6 and non NVQ certifications specially market oriented high end skill competency courses.
