Armed men robbed gold worth Rs. 4 Mn

The Jaffna Police say that four armed men who broke into a house in Nallur, Jaffna Sunday (27) night scared the residents and robbed a stock of gold worth about Rs. 4 million.

Police say that the robbers came with knives and swords and it appears that they broke into the house knowing that there were so many valuable gold articles in the house.

Police are yet to identify the suspects. The residents have told the Police that the stolen gold items weigh 26 pounds.
